Introduced by Brighton-based Spymania with Kotva, in 2001, Hypo has now become an icon-like figure of Active Suspension 厂牌, for which he achieved four LPS of atypical and stubbornly original electronic pop.
2001年，通过两支英国乐队Spymania和Kotva，Hypo开始为众人所知。在以流行原味电子为基础，推出了四个非典型的LPS，之后，Hypo就成为了Active Suspension 厂牌的标志性符号。

Grinningly ironic and deadly serious at the same time, Hypo wanders in the soapy world of pop music, mistreating clichés, mishandling with one gesture new wave, mainstream and experimental music.
在充斥着陈词滥调的流行音乐领域里，Hypo面对泡沫剧式的无聊局面，已相当严肃的态度发出种种嘲讽戏谑的声音。他以一种新浪潮的姿态，把主流与实验音乐这两个看似难以磨合的形式处理得赏心悦目。

Asserting the sampled /recycling nature of his music, Hypo still seduces with the totally pop inclination of his songs, labouring for the composition of potential pocket hit tracks, cross beamed with brilliant gestures of experimentation. Also mapping a territory constantly opened onto the outside, his music very often lets in for the expression of guests, such as dDamage, O.Lamm, Momus, Anne Laplantine, or Sawako.

About 关于EDH

Emmanuelle de Héricourt is a musician and a singer, playing in various musical projects (her own solo EDH, Les Chanteurs Américains, ii. ）After the release of her debut album Morgen on Japanese label Intik, Emmanuelle largely contributed to Hypo’s fourth album Random Veneziano, most notably the explosive « Free Days ».
Working principally with analogue synthesisers的, Emmanuelle composes a unique kind of synthetic pop, light and somber at the same time, where ghostly crooning voices intertwine with references to the 1980s, and vocals that can both be fragile and disincarnated.
Emmanuelle de Héricourt同时作为一位音乐家和一名歌手，参加过多种不同的演出（以她本人出现的EDH，音乐组合Les Chanteurs Américains, 另外的组合ii.）。在日本厂牌Intik下发行了双张专辑Morgen之后，Emmanuelle开始与Hypo合作，并在Hypo第四张专辑Random Veneziano中做出了巨大的贡献，其中最引人注目的是爆炸性的《Free Days》。

"The Correct Use of Pets» is Hypo and EDH’s first LP collaboration. One can find the eminently recognizable pop alchemy of their respective works, but also the unheard exploration of an absurd and strange animal universe, a kind of anti-lounge music that is exotic and somber at the same time. " The Correct Use of Pets " 是Hypo 与 EDH首次合作的专辑，双方在各自特有的风格中共同探索着抓住流行元素的法术，从古怪的动物世界中采样发出前所未闻的荒诞声音，以低沉犹豫的气质营造着有别于酒吧乐曲的散发着绚烂色彩的缥缈乐声，但同时，它不失于流行又充满了舞蹈的节奏。Emmanuelle的人声总是试图与乐声产生对比，乐观、轻柔而抽象，似乎通过这种方式强调着专辑中迥异的二元关系，天真和不安同在，低沉与幽默共存。




This Album won the first prize at the Qwartz Electronic Music Awards 2007 in the « Discovery » section.
